Michael Williams (defensive lineman)

Michael Williams is a former American football defensive lineman. He played college football at the University of Southern California (USC). Williams was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft.

College Career

Williams played college football for the USC Trojans from 2009 to 2012. He played in a total of 41 games, recording 115 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. He earned All-Pac-12 Conference honors multiple times.

Professional Career

The New England Patriots selected Williams with the 226th overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. He was later released by the Patriots. He signed with the Detroit Lions' practice squad in 2013 but was later released. He then signed with the Seattle Seahawks practice squad in 2014 and was eventually signed to the active roster, though he did not see regular playing time. He was later released and did not play in the NFL after 2014.
