Khariya

The Khariya are a Munda ethnic group residing primarily in India, with significant populations also found in Bangladesh and Nepal. They are categorized as a Scheduled Tribe in India.

The Khariya people traditionally speak the Khariya language, which belongs to the Munda branch of the Austroasiatic language family. However, due to contact with other languages and cultures, many Khariya speakers also use languages like Hindi, Odia, and Bengali.
