John Barrett (Massachusetts politician)

John Barrett (1766-1808) was an American politician from Massachusetts. He served as a United States Representative for Massachusetts's 7th congressional district from 1803 to 1805.

Barrett was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on June 26, 1766. He pursued classical studies and graduated from Harvard College in 1788. He engaged in mercantile pursuits.

He was elected as a Democratic-Republican to the Eighth Congress, serving from March 4, 1803, to March 3, 1805. He was not a candidate for renomination in 1804.

Barrett died in Concord, Massachusetts, on July 18, 1808, and was interred in the Old Burying Ground.
