Jack Harris (Ontario politician)

Jack Harris (1917-2007) was a Canadian politician in Ontario. He served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) representing the riding of St. George-St. David in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1963 to 1975. He was a member of the New Democratic Party (NDP). Harris was known for his advocacy on urban planning issues and tenant rights, particularly in downtown Toronto. He was a vocal critic of high-rise development and its impact on established neighbourhoods. Following his time in the legislature, Harris remained active in community affairs and continued to advocate for responsible urban development. He was a lawyer by profession.
