Finders Keepers (band)
Finders Keepers are a British psychedelic funk band, formed in Manchester, England, in the early 2000s. They are primarily known for their dedication to unearthing and reissuing obscure and forgotten music from Eastern Europe, Asia, and other corners of the globe, specializing in rare groove, library music, and vintage soundtracks. While they operate as a record label (Finders Keepers Records), the band also performs their own original compositions, heavily influenced by the sounds they've excavated and disseminated.
The band’s members include Jane Weaver, Andy Votel, Dom Thomas, and various collaborators. Their live performances often incorporate elements of visual art and performance, creating an immersive and eclectic experience.
Finders Keepers' original music draws heavily on the styles of music they champion, creating a unique blend of psychedelic rock, funk, and library music textures. Their commitment to archival research and musical rediscovery has earned them a dedicated following among crate diggers and enthusiasts of global music.
