Glyn Davies (economist)

Glyn Davies (born in Cardiff, Wales, 1919, died in Cardiff, Wales, 2003) was a Welsh economist best known for his work on the history of money and banking. He is most notably recognized as the author of "A History of Money: From Ancient Times to the Present Day," first published in 1994. This comprehensive work traces the evolution of monetary systems across various cultures and periods, providing a detailed analysis of the forms, functions, and institutional structures of money.
