Tehang

Tehang is a village development committee (VDC) located in the Taplejung District of Province No. 1 in Nepal. VDCs served as the lowest administrative unit of local government in Nepal before being replaced by municipalities and rural municipalities. Tehang borders the People's Republic of China to the north. The economy of Tehang is largely based on subsistence agriculture and animal husbandry, supplemented by trade and seasonal migration for work. The population is predominantly of Limbu ethnicity, and the local language spoken is primarily Limbu.
