George Carman (baseball)

George Carman (born May 17, 1930, in Butler, Pennsylvania, died December 30, 2001, in Grove City, Pennsylvania) was a professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for one season, 1954, with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Carman appeared in 12 games for the Pirates, all in relief, pitching a total of 15 innings. He recorded no wins or losses and had an earned run average (ERA) of 6.60. He walked 13 batters and struck out 6. Before playing professionally, Carman attended Grove City College. After his brief MLB career, he continued to play in the minor leagues for several seasons.
