Alessandro (footballer, born 1979)
Alessandro Potenza (born March 8, 1979) is an Italian former professional footballer who primarily played as a right-back. He is also capable of playing in the centre of defence.
Potenza began his professional career with Internazionale, although he spent much of his early career on loan to various Serie A and Serie B clubs including Vicenza, Chievo, Parma, and Ancona.
In 2005, he joined Mallorca in Spain, where he played for one season before returning to Italy to sign with Fiorentina.
He subsequently played for Genoa, Catania, Modena, and finally ending his career at Siracusa.
Potenza also represented Italy at various youth levels, including the under-21 team, and earned three caps for the senior national team.
