Al Fitch
Al Fitch (born Alfred Fitch, 1912 – 1981) was an American track and field athlete. He is best known for winning a gold medal in the 4x400 meter relay at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. Fitch ran the second leg of the relay, which set a new world record. Prior to the Olympics, he attended New York University (NYU), where he was a prominent member of the track team. Following his athletic career, information regarding his later life is scarce. He is primarily remembered for his Olympic achievement and contribution to the United States' track and field legacy.
