Gabe Amo

Gabe Amo is an American political advisor and government official. He currently serves as the U.S. Representative for Rhode Island's 1st congressional district, having won a special election in November 2023.

Prior to his election to Congress, Amo held several positions in the White House. He served as Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, acting as a liaison between the White House and state and local governments. He also worked as a Senior Advisor to President Joe Biden, focusing on infrastructure implementation and engagement with state and local officials.

Amo is a graduate of Pawtucket Public Schools, earned a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University, and a master's degree from the University of Oxford as a Marshall Scholar. He is a member of the Democratic Party. His policy priorities have focused on issues affecting Rhode Island, including infrastructure, education, and economic development.
