De Witte (film)

De Witte (English: Whitey) is a 1934 Belgian Flemish-language film directed by Jan Vanderheyden. It is based on the novel of the same name by Ernest Claes. The film tells the story of a mischievous and carefree young boy named Frans, nicknamed "De Witte" (The White One) due to his fair hair. Set in a rural village in Flanders, the film portrays De Witte's many pranks and adventures, often landing him in trouble with his family, schoolteachers, and the local community.
