French ship Réfléchi (1776)

The Réfléchi was a 64-gun ship of the line in the French Navy, launched in 1776. She participated in the American Revolutionary War, notably in the Battle of Ushant in 1778, where she served in the vanguard of the French fleet under Admiral d'Orvilliers. She also saw action in other engagements during the war.

Réfléchi was later captured by the Royal Navy on 21 April 1782. The British renamed her HMS Reflex and commissioned her into the Royal Navy. She served in the Royal Navy for several years before being decommissioned and eventually sold out of service in 1792. Her career, spanning service in both the French and British navies, provides a notable example of the naval warfare and ship captures common during the 18th century.
