Bill Hunt (musician)
Bill Hunt (born William Hunt) is a British keyboardist and session musician. He is best known for his work with the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) and Wizzard.
Hunt joined ELO in 1978, replacing Richard Tandy on keyboards when Tandy moved to bass after the departure of Kelly Groucutt. He contributed to the albums Discovery (1979), Xanadu (1980), Time (1981) and Secret Messages (1983), as well as touring with the band during this period.
Prior to ELO, Hunt was a member of Roy Wood's band Wizzard, playing keyboards and horns. He featured on several of Wizzard's hit singles, including "See My Baby Jive" and "Angel Fingers". He also contributed to Wood's solo albums.
After his time with ELO, Hunt continued to work as a session musician, playing on recordings by a variety of artists. He is noted for his versatility and proficiency on multiple instruments.
