Highwic

Built in 1862 for Alfred Buckland, a prominent businessman and politician, Highwic is a fine example of a Victorian Carpenter Gothic style house. The house reflects the prosperity and social standing of the Buckland family during the late 19th century.

The property features a large, two-storied wooden house with intricate detailing, including gables, verandahs, and decorative bargeboards. The surrounding gardens, including rose gardens, orchards, and a croquet lawn, are an integral part of the historic landscape.
