Novar plc

Novar plc was a British-based international group of companies involved in the production and distribution of a range of products, primarily focused on security, building products, and printing. The company was listed on the London Stock Exchange and was a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.

Novar’s principal business areas included:

• Intelligent Building Systems: Manufacturing and distributing products and systems for access control, fire detection, and security management.

• Security Printing: Producing banknotes, passports, and other secure documents for governments and institutions around the world.

• Building Products: Manufacturing and distributing a range of building products, including profiles, systems, and other related products.

In 2004, Novar plc was acquired by Honeywell International Inc. following a takeover bid. The acquisition integrated Novar's businesses into Honeywell's existing portfolio, particularly in the areas of building automation and security solutions. Following the acquisition, the Novar brand was gradually phased out as its constituent businesses were integrated into Honeywell's divisions.
