Abominator (band)

Abominator is an Australian extreme metal band formed in Melbourne in 1996. The band's sound is typically described as a blend of death metal and black metal, often referred to as war metal due to its aggressive and chaotic nature. Their lyrical themes generally revolve around war, blasphemy, and anti-Christian ideologies.

Abominator was founded by guitarist and vocalist Andrew Gillon, who remains the only consistent member throughout the band's history. The band has released several albums and EPs, contributing to the underground extreme metal scene. Their discography includes notable releases such as Damnation is Eternal (1999), Subersives for Lucifer (2008), and Evil Proclaimed (2015).
