Edward Russell (cricketer)
Edward Russell (born circa 1850, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Hampshire.
Russell's known first-class career spanned only one match, playing for Hampshire against Kent in July 1877 at the County Ground, Southampton. Details of his batting and bowling style, as well as his full name and life beyond this single match, remain largely undocumented. He scored 0 and 5 runs in his two innings and did not bowl.
His brief appearance makes him a relatively obscure figure in the history of Hampshire County Cricket Club. Further research is needed to uncover more details about his cricketing career and personal life.
