Pizza (TV series)

Pizza is an Australian comedy television series created by Paul Fenech. It premiered on SBS in 2000 and ran for five seasons, concluding in 2007. The show revolves around the misadventures of Pauly Falzoni, played by Fenech, a pizza delivery driver working for "Fat Pizza," a fictional pizza shop in the Sydney suburb of Sunnyvale.

The series employs a satirical and often crude style of humor, lampooning Australian suburban life, ethnic stereotypes, and current events. Pauly, along with his colleagues Bobo Gigliotti (Johnny Boxer) and Habib (Houssam Zayat), frequently encounter bizarre and often illegal situations while making deliveries. The show features a recurring cast of eccentric characters, including sleazy customers, corrupt police officers, and rival pizza shop owners.

Pizza is known for its fast-paced editing, use of profanity, and politically incorrect humor. While controversial, the show gained a cult following in Australia for its unique brand of comedy. It spawned a spin-off movie, Fat Pizza, released in 2003, and a follow-up series, Swift and Shift Couriers, which continued with many of the same characters and comedic themes.
