Fred Young (Ohio politician)
Fred Young (born February 22, 1917, died March 25, 2005) was an American politician from Ohio. He served as a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 103rd District (Ashtabula County) from 1967 to 1984.
Young was a graduate of Andover High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his legislative career, he was a farmer and a businessman. During his time in the Ohio House, he served on various committees, including Agriculture and Finance. He was known for his focus on agricultural issues and his advocacy for rural Ohio.
After leaving the Ohio House, Young remained active in community affairs. He was a member of numerous organizations, including the Farm Bureau and the American Legion.
