Frank Comstock
Frank Comstock (December 11, 1922 – May 24, 2013) was an American composer, arranger, and conductor. He was primarily known for his work in television and film, though he also composed and arranged for live performances and recordings.
Comstock's career spanned several decades, and he contributed to a wide variety of projects. He arranged and conducted for artists such as Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, and Pete Fountain. He also composed and arranged music for numerous television shows, including "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet," "Leave It to Beaver," "Adam-12," "Emergency!," and "Happy Days." His work often involved creating catchy themes and underscore that became iconic for the series they accompanied.
Beyond television, Comstock also worked on film scores and contributed to musical arrangements for stage productions. His arrangements and compositions were characterized by their versatility, ranging from pop and big band styles to more dramatic and suspenseful scores.
