Forge River (New York)

The Forge River is a small, tidal river located in Suffolk County, New York, on the south shore of Long Island. It flows generally southward from its headwaters near Yaphank into Moriches Bay, which in turn connects to the Atlantic Ocean.

The river is relatively short, extending approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) in length. Its watershed is also small, encompassing a primarily residential and suburban area.
