Ford railway station (Merseyside)

Ford railway station is located in Ford, a suburb of Bootle, Merseyside, England. It is situated on the Kirkby branch of the Merseyrail Northern Line.

The station opened in 1933 by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS). It serves the residential areas of Ford and is a short distance from the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Ford station has two platforms, one for trains heading towards Liverpool Central and the other for trains heading towards Kirkby. Standard Merseyrail ticketing arrangements apply. The station is staffed during operational hours and features passenger information displays.

Accessibility provisions include ramps for wheelchair users.

Services operate frequently throughout the day, generally every 15 minutes between Liverpool Central and Kirkby. Reduced services may operate during evenings and Sundays.
