Exam (2003 film)

Exam is a 2003 short British thriller film directed by Stuart Hazeldine. It centers on eight candidates in the final stage of a high-powered job application. Locked in a room, they are given a seemingly simple examination paper with one question. The candidates quickly discover the question is not what it seems, and they must use their combined skills and ingenuity to decipher what is actually required of them. As the pressure mounts, alliances form and break, and the candidates resort to increasingly desperate measures to find the answer and secure the job. The film is known for its claustrophobic atmosphere, suspenseful plot, and exploration of human behavior under pressure. The cast includes Adar Beck, Gemma Chan, Colin Salmon, and Luke Mably. Though a short film, it served as a precursor to Hazeldine's 2009 feature-length film of the same name, which uses a similar premise and themes.
