Storm (British band)
Storm was a British rock band active in the early 1970s. Formed in Liverpool, England, the band was primarily known for its progressive rock sound and featured a lineup that included singer/guitarist Graham Dean, bassist Malcolm Morley, and drummer Keef Hartley (a former member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers).
The band released one self-titled album, Storm, in 1972 on the Harvest Records label. The album featured a blend of hard rock, blues, and progressive elements, showcasing extended instrumental passages and complex arrangements. Despite critical acclaim from some quarters and a dedicated local following, the album did not achieve significant commercial success.
Storm toured in support of their album, but the band ultimately dissolved shortly thereafter. Keef Hartley continued his career as a solo artist and session musician. The Storm album has since become a sought-after item among collectors of progressive rock and is often cited as a notable, though underappreciated, example of the genre from that era. While not a household name, Storm remains a significant footnote in the history of British rock music.
