Enchantress (Marvel Comics)

The Enchantress is the name used by two fictional characters appearing in Marvel Comics. Both are powerful sorceresses originating from Asgard.

Amora: Amora is the original and more well-known Enchantress. She is a formidable magic user with a vast array of abilities, including energy manipulation, illusion casting, teleportation, and mind control. Amora is frequently depicted as a villain, often opposing Thor and the Avengers. Her motivations generally revolve around seeking power and manipulating others to achieve her goals. She is known for her seductive nature and often uses her beauty and charm to influence those around her. Her frequent accomplice is the Executioner (Skurge). Amora is depicted as being incredibly arrogant and self-serving.

Lorelei: Lorelei is Amora's younger sister and also possesses significant magical abilities, though generally considered to be less powerful than Amora. Lorelei shares her sister's seductive nature and manipulative tendencies. She has frequently clashed with heroes such as Thor, and has also been involved in various schemes and power plays within Asgard and on Earth. While sharing many of Amora's traits, Lorelei is sometimes portrayed as being slightly less calculating and more prone to impulsive actions. She has, at times, been manipulated by her sister.

Both Enchantresses are perennial threats within the Marvel Universe due to their magical prowess and their penchant for causing chaos.
