Eiswoog
The Eiswoog is a small lake located in the Palatinate Forest (Pfälzerwald) in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Situated near the town of Ramsen, it is a popular destination for recreation, including hiking, swimming, and fishing. The lake's name translates roughly to "ice pond" or "ice bog," likely referencing its cold waters or a historical use for ice harvesting. The surrounding area is characterized by woodland and sandstone formations typical of the Palatinate Forest. The lake itself is artificially created, impounded by a dam. The Eiswoog is also a stop on various hiking trails in the region.
