Western Operational Command (Belarus)

The Western Operational Command (Belarusian: Заходняе аператыўнае камандаванне, romanized: Zakhodnyaye aperatyvnaye kamandavanne) is one of two operational commands within the Armed Forces of Belarus. Its primary area of responsibility encompasses the western regions of Belarus.

The Command is responsible for maintaining the military security of its designated territory, training troops, and coordinating military activities within its jurisdiction. It plays a crucial role in Belarus's defense strategy, focusing on potential threats emanating from the west.

The headquarters of the Western Operational Command is located in Hrodna (Grodno).

The Command controls various military units, including mechanized brigades, artillery units, and air defense assets, stationed within its operational area. Its personnel participate in joint military exercises with other branches of the Belarusian military and with allied nations, primarily Russia, to enhance interoperability and combat readiness.
