Echo Lake (band)

Echo Lake was a British dream pop band formed in London in 2010. They were known for their atmospheric soundscapes, blending elements of shoegaze, ambient, and electronic music.

The band consisted primarily of Thom Hill (vocals, guitar) and Linda Jarvis (vocals, keyboards). They released their debut album, Young Silence, in 2012 on No Pain in Pop Records. The album was well-received by critics, praised for its immersive textures and melancholic melodies.

Echo Lake toured extensively following the release of Young Silence, playing shows across Europe and North America. They garnered a dedicated following for their ethereal live performances.

In 2015, Echo Lake released their second and final album, Era, also on No Pain in Pop. While maintaining the band's signature sound, Era explored slightly darker and more introspective themes.

Shortly after the release of Era, Echo Lake announced their disbandment. Thom Hill has since pursued solo projects, while Linda Jarvis has focused on visual art and design. Despite their relatively short lifespan, Echo Lake left a lasting impact on the dream pop scene, influencing numerous artists with their unique blend of sonic textures and emotional depth. Their music continues to be discovered and appreciated by new listeners.
