Eat-Man
Eat-Man is a Japanese manga series created by Akihito Yoshimi, and subsequently adapted into an anime series. The central character is Bolt Crank, a taciturn "explorer" or "fixer" with the unique ability to eat almost anything and then recreate it from his left hand. He accepts various jobs and missions, often involving dangerous situations, and uses his ability in inventive ways to overcome obstacles. The setting often blends futuristic technology with a gritty, almost steampunk aesthetic, and stories range from straightforward action to more philosophical or character-driven narratives. The Eat-Man stories are generally episodic, with Bolt moving from one situation to the next, and revealing little about his past or motivations. Different anime adaptations exist, each with varying levels of faithfulness to the original manga's storyline and tone.
