Donald Phillips (bishop)

Donald Phillips is a retired bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire. He served as the fourth bishop of the diocese from 1997 to 2010.

Phillips was born in 1944 and ordained to the priesthood in 1971. Before becoming bishop, he served in several parishes in Wisconsin, including St. Paul's Cathedral in Fond du Lac.

As bishop of Eau Claire, Phillips oversaw the administration and spiritual leadership of the diocese, which encompasses churches in northwestern Wisconsin. He was known for his commitment to social justice issues and his advocacy for the poor and marginalized. He also played a significant role in ecumenical and interfaith dialogues.

Following his retirement in 2010, Bishop Phillips continued to be involved in ministry and community service.
