Gingelom

Gingelom is a municipality located in the province of Limburg, in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is situated in the Hesbaye region, known for its fertile agricultural land.

The modern municipality of Gingelom was created in 1977 through the fusion of several smaller municipalities: Gingelom, Borlo, Buvingen, Jeuk, Montenaken, Niel-bij-Sint-Truiden, and Mielen-boven-Aalst. Each of these constituent villages has its own distinct history and character.
