Denílson (footballer, born 1988)
Denílson Pereira Neves (born 16 February 1988), known as Denílson, is a Brazilian footballer who plays primarily as a defensive midfielder.
Denílson began his professional career with São Paulo FC in Brazil, where he quickly established himself as a promising young talent. His performances attracted the attention of European clubs, and in 2008, he signed with Arsenal in England. While at Arsenal, he featured regularly for several seasons but struggled to consistently secure a permanent place in the starting eleven.
After his time in England, Denílson had loan spells back at São Paulo FC and later at Al Wahda in the United Arab Emirates. He then returned to Brazil, playing for clubs such as Grêmio and Botafogo.
