Dejvická (Prague Metro)

Dejvická is a station on Line A of the Prague Metro. It is located in the Dejvice district of Prague, Czech Republic, near Vítězné náměstí (Victory Square). The station was originally opened in 1978 as the western terminus of Line A and was known as Leninova until 1990, after which it was renamed Dejvická following the Velvet Revolution.

The station is a deep-level, pillar-triplet design. It features a vestibule above ground with escalators leading down to the platform level. Due to its location as a terminus station for many years, Dejvická served as a major transportation hub, with connections to numerous bus and tram lines.

In 2015, Line A was extended westward to Nemocnice Motol, making Dejvická no longer the terminus. However, it continues to be an important interchange station, providing access to various parts of Prague and beyond. The station's vicinity includes several important buildings, including the Czech Technical University and various embassies.
