Bliss (2018 TV series)
Bliss is a British comedy television series that aired on Sky One in 2018. Created and written by David Cross, it stars Stephen Mangan, Heather Graham, and Jo Hartley. The series consists of six episodes.
The show follows the life of Andrew, a successful travel writer who lives a double life with two families unaware of each other's existence. One family is in Bristol with his wife Kim (Jo Hartley), and the other is in France with Denise (Heather Graham). He juggles these two lives precariously, using elaborate excuses and travel assignments as cover.
The comedy derives from the increasingly absurd and complex situations Andrew finds himself in as he attempts to maintain his deception, the reactions of his two families, and the near misses that constantly threaten to expose his secret. It explores themes of infidelity, responsibility, and the challenges of modern relationships, often through awkward and embarrassing scenarios.
The series received mixed reviews, with some critics praising the performances of the cast and the originality of the premise, while others found the humor uneven and the characters unlikeable.
