Bennungen
Bennungen is a village and a former municipality in the Mansfeld-Südharz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the municipality of Südharz. It is located approximately 15 km west of Sangerhausen. The village is situated in the Goldene Aue, a fertile agricultural region. Historically, the area's economy was based on agriculture and related trades. Bennungen has a local history documented through various sources, including archival records and local chronicles.
