Dasht-e Sachak

Dasht-e Sachak (also spelled Dasht-i Sachak) is a relatively small desert or arid plain located in southwestern Afghanistan. It is part of the larger Registan Desert, a sandy, mountainous desert plateau covering parts of southeastern Afghanistan, southwestern Pakistan, and southeastern Iran. Dasht-e Sachak is characterized by sand dunes, gravel plains, and sparse vegetation adapted to arid conditions. The region is sparsely populated, primarily by nomadic or semi-nomadic peoples. Access to water is limited, and temperatures can reach extremes in both summer and winter.
