Believe (TV series)

Believe is an American fantasy drama television series that aired on NBC from March 10, 2014, to June 15, 2014. Created by Alfonso Cuarón, Mark Friedman, and developed by Friedman, it stars Johnny Sequoyah as Bo Adams, a young girl with extraordinary psychic and supernatural abilities, and Jake McLaughlin as Tate, an ex-convict sprung from prison to protect her.

The series follows Bo as she learns to control her powers, which include telekinesis, levitation, controlling nature, and seeing into the future. Tate is tasked with keeping her safe from those who would exploit her abilities, including a shadowy organization known as Orchestra, led by Dr. Roman Skouras (Kyle MacLachlan), who seeks to harness her powers for their own purposes.

The supporting cast included Delroy Lindo as Milton Winter, the head of a clandestine group protecting Bo, and Jamie Chung as Janice Channing, another member of Winter's team with her own unique skills. Arian Moayed also appeared as Dr. Edward Quinn, a scientist who initially worked for Orchestra but later joined Winter's team.

Believe was produced by Warner Bros. Television and Bad Robot Productions. Although the series garnered initial interest due to Cuarón's involvement (director of Gravity and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), it suffered from low ratings and was canceled after one season consisting of 13 episodes. The show was generally praised for its acting and special effects but criticized for its convoluted plot and uneven pacing.
