Dany (comics)
Dany is a Belgian comics series created by Greg (script) and Dany (art), whose real name is Daniel Henrotin. The series is primarily known for its humor and adventure elements, often featuring fantastical or science fiction themes.
The first Dany series, "Olivier Rameau," debuted in Tintin magazine in 1968. This series followed the adventures of a young man who could enter a dream world called the Dream Country, populated by surreal characters and situations. Olivier Rameau is arguably Dany's most famous creation.
Later, Dany created other series, including "Histoire sans héros" (Story Without Heroes), which offered a satirical and often absurd take on traditional adventure stories. "Equator," a more serious adventure series, was also a notable work.
Dany's artistic style is characterized by its dynamic line work, expressive characters, and detailed backgrounds. His ability to blend humor with adventure, and often inject social commentary into his stories, has made him a significant figure in Franco-Belgian comics. While not as widely recognized as some of his contemporaries, Dany's contributions to the medium are respected, particularly for "Olivier Rameau."
