Sergio Escudero (footballer, born 1988)
Sergio Escudero Palomo (born September 2, 1988) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a left-back.
Career
Escudero began his professional career with Real Murcia, making his debut in the Segunda División. His performances attracted attention, and he was subsequently signed by Schalke 04 in Germany. During his time with Schalke, he won the DFB-Pokal in 2011.
After his stint in Germany, Escudero returned to Spain, joining Getafe CF. He then moved to Sevilla FC, where he experienced considerable success, winning the UEFA Europa League on multiple occasions. He was a consistent presence in the Sevilla squad, contributing both defensively and offensively.
Following his time at Sevilla, Escudero played for Granada CF and later Real Valladolid. Throughout his career, he has been known for his strong tackling, crossing ability, and overall defensive capabilities.
