Ctrl (SZA album)
Ctrl is the debut studio album by American R&B singer SZA. It was released on June 9, 2017, by Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and RCA Records.
The album's title, Ctrl, refers to SZA's feeling of a lack of control in her life and the various anxieties and experiences that come with navigating adulthood, relationships, and self-discovery. Sonically, Ctrl is primarily an R&B album, incorporating elements of neo soul, hip hop, and alternative R&B.
Ctrl features guest appearances from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, James Fauntleroy, and Isaiah Rashad. The album was supported by the singles "Drew Barrymore," "Love Galore" featuring Travis Scott, "The Weekend," and "Broken Clocks."
