Bill Shelton (footballer, born 1902)

Bill Shelton (born 1902) was an English professional footballer who played as an outside left. He played in the Football League for Grimsby Town, Darlington and Hartlepools United.

Shelton began his career at non-league clubs before joining Grimsby Town in 1923. He made a limited number of appearances for Grimsby before transferring to Darlington in 1925. He enjoyed a more substantial run in the Darlington team. In 1927, he moved to Hartlepools United, where he concluded his Football League career.
