Clive Smith (footballer, born 1923)

Clive Smith (born 22 January 1923) was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a full-back. He is primarily known for his long career with Cardiff City, where he made over 300 appearances in the Football League.

Smith began his career with Lovell's Athletic before joining Cardiff City in 1946. He quickly established himself in the first team and became a mainstay in the Cardiff defence for over a decade. He was known for his strong tackling and consistent performances. Smith was part of the Cardiff City team that won the Welsh Cup in 1951 and the Division Three South title in 1946-47.

After leaving Cardiff City, Smith played for Haverfordwest County.
