Charles Scott (American football)

Charles Scott (born March 16, 1988) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU), where he was a member of the 2007 BCS National Championship team.

Early Life and High School

Scott attended North DeSoto High School in Stonewall, Louisiana. He was a highly regarded recruit, earning All-State honors and being considered one of the top running back prospects in the nation.

College Career

Scott played for the LSU Tigers from 2006 to 2009. He served primarily as a backup early in his career but emerged as a key contributor during his sophomore and junior seasons. He played an important role in LSU's undefeated 2007 season, culminating in their national championship victory. In 2008, he rushed for over 1,000 yards.

Professional Career

Scott was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played for the Eagles for two seasons. He also spent time on the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers. His NFL career was hampered by injuries.
