Sipsmith

Sipsmith is a London-based gin distillery, founded in 2009 by Sam Galsworthy, Fairfax Hall, and Jared Brown. It is credited as being one of the first traditional copper-pot gin distilleries to set up in London in nearly 200 years, following a change in UK law that made small-batch distilling more feasible.

The company is known for its London Dry Gin, which is produced using a single-shot distillation method. Their gin is made with ten botanicals: juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root, licorice root, orris root, almond, cassia bark, cinnamon, orange peel, and lemon peel.

Sipsmith produces a range of gin products, including Sloe Gin, V.J.O.P. (Very Junipery Over Proof) Gin, and limited-edition experimental batches. The distillery offers tours and gin-making experiences at its Chiswick location.

In 2016, Sipsmith was acquired by Beam Suntory, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings. While ownership changed, the original founders remained involved in the company's operations. Sipsmith continues to focus on traditional gin-making methods and maintaining the quality of its products.
