Chad Cota

Chad Cota (born August 25, 1971) is a former American football safety in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Oregon and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the seventh round of the 1995 NFL Draft.

Cota played for the Carolina Panthers (1995-1999), the Indianapolis Colts (2000-2001), the New Orleans Saints (2002), and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2002). He was known for his hard-hitting style of play and was a reliable special teams contributor throughout his career. He recorded several interceptions and tackles in his NFL seasons. After his playing career ended, he became involved in coaching and youth sports development.
