Central Air Command (India)

The Central Air Command (CAC) is one of the seven operational commands of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Its primary area of responsibility encompasses the central part of India, ensuring the security and integrity of Indian airspace within its designated region.

CAC is responsible for a wide range of operations, including air defense, offensive air operations, reconnaissance, and disaster relief. It manages a number of air force stations and units spread across several states.

The command plays a vital role in maintaining peace and security in the region and is equipped with a variety of aircraft and equipment to fulfill its mandate. The Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) is the head of the Central Air Command, a three-star rank Air Marshal.
