Hudson Street (TV series)
Hudson Street was an American sitcom that aired on CBS from September 19, 1995, to April 4, 1996. The series starred Tony Danza as Tony Canetti, a divorced police detective living in Hoboken, New Jersey. Mia Farrow played Melanie Clifford, the editor of a travel magazine, with whom Tony becomes romantically involved.
The show centered around the challenges and comedic situations arising from Tony and Melanie's relationship, complicated by their differing lifestyles and Tony's close-knit family. Tony’s life included regular interactions with his children and his ex-wife, as well as his colleagues at the police precinct. Melanie's sophisticated urban lifestyle contrasted with Tony's more grounded, blue-collar existence in Hoboken.
Although the series featured a well-known lead actor and a seasoned comedic premise, it failed to attract a large audience and was ultimately cancelled after one season. The show's humor was generally characterized as light and family-friendly, focusing on relatable situations and character-driven comedy.
