Builsa North (Ghana parliament constituency)
Builsa North is a constituency in Ghana that elects a Member of Parliament (MP). It is located in the Upper East Region of Ghana and is one of thirteen constituencies in the region. The constituency is predominantly rural and agricultural. The current MP for Builsa North is James Agalga of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He has held the seat since 2009. The constituency has historically been a stronghold for the NDC, but the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has also made inroads in recent elections. The main town within the constituency is Sandema. Elections in Ghana are held every four years. Voters elect a Member of Parliament to represent their constituency and also elect the President of Ghana.
