Brandon Bess

Brandon Bess (born July 13, 1987) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets in 2011.

Bess was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 33rd round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign. He was later drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 7th round of the 2006 MLB draft and signed.

Bess worked his way through the Pirates' minor league system, reaching Triple-A Indianapolis in 2010. In 2011, he was traded to the New York Mets organization. He was called up to the Mets in September 2011 and made his major league debut on September 14, 2011. He appeared in one game for the Mets, pitching one inning and allowing one earned run.

After his brief stint in the majors, Bess continued to pitch in the minor leagues. He was released by the Mets organization and subsequently played in independent leagues. His professional baseball career concluded in 2013.
